Thermoforming
Continuous Fiber reinforced (CFR) Thermoplastic composites are suitable for high speed thermoforming.

We have worked with Art Buckel of McConnell Co. (thermoforming consultants) to adapt CFR composites for thermoforming. We focused on laminate construction and best methods and processes for turning CFR laminates into molded parts. The processes are geared for the typical fast cycle times of 3-7 minutes and mold costs of standard thermoforming.

Special Features:
Continuous Fiber Reinforced (CFR) thermoplastics have
higher heat resistance, impact strength, flexural strength
and stiffness. They permit thinner walls, with less weight
      than neat resin.

Tailored properties include variable axis reinforcement,
      (0, 90, +/- 45), reinforcement type (glass, carbon, etc,),
      fiber volumes.

Can replace steel and specialty metals in high
      performance industrial applications.
